Your mother-in-law truly has an awesome job! I love the Cirque, haven't seen a show in ages - last one I saw was their 'sexy' show in Vegas and frankly, I was not impressed. Probably 20 years ago there was a reality TV series about acts trying to join the Cirque, and it really made you appreciate how much effort goes on behind the scenes.
My dad was a plumber. I can drive around Phoenix and point at buildings and say 'My dad put the plumbing in THAT building and THAT building and....'. He mainly did new building construction and renovations, but when times were lean in those fields the company would do home remodels and such.
The Jeff Goldblum show sounds fantastic! Maybe I'll look for some samples. Normally, I prefer 1930s/40s jazz, Glenn Miller/big band types. But I knew Jeff had some chops, it might appeal.
