gingerianaЗавезли Нобелевского лауреата по экономике за 2007 год тут давеча, который Роджер Маэрсон.
Первые полчаса мне казалось, что случился очередной наивный, преиисполненный традиционного американского идеализма, профессор, голосующий за демократов.
Но потом, как-то постепенно, включился в нём не пойми откуда голос сценариста из "Карточного домика" и запел прекрасные эконометрические песни. В общем и целом, в конце двух часов сложилась неплохая модель экономического лобби на двух уровнях - местного управления и общегосударственного. В конце второго часа я вынуждена была катапультироваться по причине тотального выноса мозга и спасения души токмо ради.
Но пару цитат на всякий случай оставлю здесь, может потом куда употреблю:
- Successful political reform is the one that gives the country good leaders in 50 years from now
- State is the network of agents who get profit from the system of power. Noone doubts they can be bought and sold. The only question is the balance between their abuse of power and their long-term promises
- Public budget must be at hands of somebody in the middle of political hierarchy, because it is the hardest to steal there, nearly impossible, being controlled by both the top and the bottom
- The major paradox of the current election systems is that a truly good governor (or a good congressman) eventually turns into an absolutely lousy president. Because he has already reached the top of his abilities and it is nowhere to go further, therefore, all people get in such situation is dissapointment.
- the World Bank is in its own corrupting governments because they give away money. Once a government gets dollars - is it still working for its own people or for the World Bank?
- When power is concentrated in one head only - it is easier to ruin this country. Because: 1) you just need to remove this one head only; 2) it is easier for outside enemies to bribe local powers which under such conditions are dissatisfied with the monopoly and power concentration
(Последнее - прекрасная теоретическая ситуёвина, в который лектор какбэ намекает, что всё закончится хорошо. Но реальных примеров, Средневековье не в счёт, я вспомнить не могу ваще. А жаль)
